Obesity and Diabetes knows no boundaries, nor is it prejudiced. It is a disease that affects children in families of al socio-economic groups, educational levels and ethnic backgrounds in urban, suburban, and rural areas. Here in the Commonwealth there is a large population within in our community who are walking through their daily lives with hypertension, diabetes, obesity, heart disease, and many other health complications.
The Pacific Wellness Center, a division of Marianas Health Services, Inc. a Medicare and Medicaid Certified Home Health Agency, was developed to address this and many other health needs here in the Commonwealth and throughout the Pacific Region. The goal of PWC is to help shape a healthier community one person at a time. This is accomplished through a gradual increase in various low, moderate and high impact exercises, healthy eating choices and behavior modification, one-on-one and group sessions with a Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, Social Worker, Dietician and other professionals all focused on helping each individual to control, maintain and manage their current health condition, with the ultimate goal of preventing any and further health complications.
